The buzz around Kick 2 has been making noise since the film was announced. Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez are all set to recreate the magic with Kick 2. Sajid Nadiadwala, who will be helming the sequel to his popular blockbuster, Kick, confirmed to Mumbai Mirror and said, “Once I finish penning the script, I’ll be completely sure. But at present, she’s there in what I’m writing. But it’s too early to talk about it.” As the news of the film being made was confirmed long back, we recently have learned that the film is on its pre-production stage.
According to the reports, the sequel of 2014 action thriller flick is expected to go on floors in 2020. “Since Kick was a much-loved film, Sajid and his writing team is taking things extremely slow, to ensure that part two lives up to the expectations of the audience,” reveals a source close to the development. “There have been several brain-storming sessions to lock the premise of the story, which carries forward the franchise. They have finally zeroed in on the idea.”
Once the script is locked, the team will go on a recce to finalise the location sites. “The shooting spots will be decided as per the demand of the script. Much like part one, even the sequel will be set in India and abroad.”
Earlier, there have been enough rumours that Rohit Shetty will be directing Kick 2. However, that’s far from the truth. The film is a Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment starring Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles. To clear the air on the circling rumours, the producers of the film have confirmed that Sajid Nadiadwala will be directing the sequel of the franchise.
Kick, which released back in 2014, starred Jacqueline Fernandez, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Randeep Hooda in pivotal roles, was a hit. Let’s see if the sequel does equally well...
